BD TowMaster 4R100 Transmission - Heavy Duty Upgrade

The stock transmission is designed to handle the output of the stock engine, but not much more. Increase the durability of your drivetrain with a BD transmission. All transmissions come with BD's heavy-duty transmission pan, and most packages include our auxiliary transmission filter kit for added protection.

Transmission Upgrades:

• Enhanced Clutch Capacity:
  • Coast: 2 clutches
  • Forward: 5 clutches (25% increase over stock)
  • Direct: 5 clutches
  • Low Reverse: 7 clutches (17% increase over stock)
  • Intermediate: 4 clutches (33% increase over stock)
  • Overdrive: 4 clutches (33% increase over stock)
• BD Aluminum Heavy Duty Deep Pan - Increases oil capacity by 6 quarts
• Re-calibrated Accumulator Body for quicker, firmer shifts
• Full Shift Kit with line mod valve to increase pressures
• Increased Pressure to Converter for improved performance
• Enhanced Lubrication: Added lube circuits to OD planet, output and intermediate shafts
• Drilled and Tapped Feeds to prevent case leaks at direct and intermediate feeds
• Upgraded OD Snap Ring for increased durability
• Machined Center Support for precision operation
• Reworked Front Pump for improved flow
• Fully Rollerized Geartrain for smoother operation and reduced friction

Additional Features:

• Each transmission is dyno tested for quality assurance
• 1990-2003 models include auxiliary frame-mounted full flow filter kit

Warranty:

• Parts: 36 months / 150,000 miles
• Labor: 12 months / 24,000 miles
• Race abuse not covered
• Remote filter required for inspection with cooler flow rate in GPM at oil/air transmission cooler outlet

Important Notes:

• BD torque converter required: Must be installed at the time of transmission installation. Use of a 3rd party or OE converter will invalidate the transmission warranty.
• 2WD 4R100 vehicles with attached driveline brake assembly require 4WD model
• Add "LR" for 4.88 rear end ratio or lower (e.g., 1064444FLR or 1064444FPTOLR)
• Add "PTO" to part number for PTO provision (e.g., 1064444FPTO or 1064444FPTOLR)
• This model does not have PTO provision
• Excursion requires use of factory-style transmission pan (BD Deep Pan will interfere with factory crossmember)

Emissions: Legal for sale and use in all 50 states. Does not require EO in California.
